Candy Cane Fragrance Oil Review

We wanted a candy cane fragrance oil but we wanted a scent with a bit more depth of fragrance, a bit more luxury. We think that we found the right one. Here are the fragrance notes:
Top notes of orange zest, mandarin and sweet peppermint, mid notes of spun sugar resting on base notes of white cedar and vanilla bean.
We added 8g of oil to 100g of soy 494 wax and melted a 7.5g piece in a large open plan room. The cold throw is peppermint with a hint of vanilla.
As this scent starts to melt in the warmer the rest of the fragrance notes come through. The peppermint becomes slightly sweet with hints of fruit. There are lovely rounded notes of vanilla but its not a strong vanilla fragrance. This fragrance is definitely minty with hints of fruit and vanilla. This is sweet fragrance but not sickly or cloying, none of our sweet fragrances are overly sweet. The cedar adds strength and longevity but it doesn’t come across as a woody note.
Many of our customers sell this as candy cane then rename it to seaside rock in the summer. This fragrance brings back fond childhood memories of eating rock while on holiday in the UK.
We melted this again to remind ourselves of the fragrance notes to write this review. We didn’t let the full four hour tealight burn down this time as we were busy. The following morning we couldn’t understand why we could smell something like baking or sweet popcorn in the house. We then realised it was the sweet vanilla notes from the previous days melt. Sweet fragrance oils are not our ‘go to’ fragrances but the living room smelt delicious that morning.
