Dark Rum Tabac Fragrance Oil Review

Posted by andrew sanderson on

.Here are the fragrance notes:

Top notes of Italian bergamot, mirabelle plum and star anise, mid notes of French violet and dark rum accord rounded off with base notes of sueded leather, patchouli, tabac and warm amber

We made this up at 8% in soy and melted a 7.5g piece in a large open ground floor. Wow - this is a powerful fragrance ! It carried up stairs and filled all of the first floor rooms with good strong scent.

This fragrance reminds us of being in a old fashioned, luxurious hotel or library with its rich woody aromas of the patchouli and aged leather. There is warmth from the tabac, amber and rum but there is no smoke smell, no sharp overpowering alcohol smell, just the warm rounded notes - a bit honey like. The floral notes of violet are in the background, helping to build the layers of scent. I would describe this as a deep, rich, warm, luxurious masculine fragrance. Its definitely one to try.
