Jamaican Gingerbread Fragrance Oil Review

We wanted a gingerbread fragrance oil with strong ginger and treacle notes, sweet but not sickly sweet. We asked our fragrance oil manufacturer to create one for us based Jamaican gingerbread.

We wanted a gingerbread that smells like the one in the orange packet - dark sugar, a touch of orange and lots of ginger. And we got it !

Here are the fragrance notes:

Top notes of mandarin, sweet cinnamon, clove bud and ginger, mid notes of warm gingerbread accord, finishing with base notes of brown sugar, creamy caramel, tonka bean and buttery vanilla

We add 8g of oil to 100g of soy 494 wax and then melt a 7.5g piece in a large open plan room. Cold throw is gingery and spicy. As soon as this wax starts to melt the fragrance intensifies. The first fragrance notes are ginger and spice with a hint of orange. Shortly after this you can smell the brown sugar, caramel and vanilla. This smells just as though someone is baking a cake. This fragrance oil is very strong but not overpowering. Bakery scents are not my usual ‘go to’ fragrances but I love this fragrance oil as much as I love the cake, This scent is so realistic.  This fragrance oil is suitable for year round and is popular around autumn, winter and Christmas.

We melted a piece to remind ourselves what the fragrance smelled like for the fragrance review but we didn’t let the whole tealight burn down. This scent is strong enough to reach rooms on our first floor quite quickly then up the second staircase to the second floor.  It was a warm day here so after we did the fragrance oil review we opened the windows. We could still smell the gingerbread scent quite strong in or living room twelve hours later.

No other words needed, this truly is the best gingerbread scent we have ever smelt.
