Santas Pipe Fragrance Oil Review

Posted by andrew sanderson on

One of our customers asked if we could stock Santas Pipe fragrance oil which they had previously purchased from another supplier. They had searched for the last few years and nothing had come close. We spoke to our fragrance oil manufacturer who sent us two samples to test. We were all very lucky that this fragrance oil was manufactured by our fragrance oil manufacturer.

Here are the fragrance notes:

Top notes of cherry wood and raspberry, mid notes of vanilla and patchouli resting on base notes of tobacco, vanilla and smokey accord.

We added 8g of oil to 100g soy 494 then melted a 7g piece in a large open plan room. On cold sniff this is a very soft, rounded, slightly fruity, slightly woody fragrance. On melting the fragrance fills the room with a soft comforting fragrance of unburnt tobacco, soft woods, a hint of vanilla and sweet cherry type notes.

This is very different from many of our other woody fragrances. The fragrance oil is very soft and rounded with a hint of sweetness but we wouldn’t describe it as a sweet scent. Don’t let the fact it has tobacco in the fragrance notes put you off, it has a hint of fresh tobacco and not tobacco smoke. The patchouli in this fragrance oil is very subtle, it isn’t a prominent note.

We are so pleased that this fragrance was requested. This is very similar to a fragrance sold by the big candle company that sells the candles in glass jars (yes, that one)

This fragrance oil can be used in room sprays and reed diffusers in accordance with IFRA 50. See the IFRA document on the oil listing for other uses.
