Sweetest Taboo Fragrance Oil Review

Posted by andrew sanderson on

We didn't realise quite what Sade was singing about in the '80's but all became clear when we recently 'Googled' Sweetest Taboo

Here are the fragrance notes:

Top notes of millsweet lemon and sweet almond, mid notes of star jasmine and sugar pine, finishing off with sugarcane and vanilla bean

The top notes of lemon and almond are nice and rounded. The lemon and almond notes are subtle. The almond is fresh almond nut rather than the artificial almond fragrance of marzipan. Don’t be afraid to try this if you don’t usually like almond fragrances. You can pick out the floral notes of jasmine. The mid notes are not overpowering and are well balanced. The sugar pine a gentle sweet note with a hint of  shortbread or sweet pastry. The vanilla and sugarcane base notes are the dominant fragrance notes giving a gentle sweetness to this vanilla based fragrance oil.

This fragrance is a little sweeter than vanilla bean orchid. It makes a nice relaxing fragrance as it is strong and carries well but it is not overpowering or sickly due to the complex fragrance layers. The name makes it perfect for a valentines collection. If you like vanilla fragrances you might like to try our other vanilla fragrance oils; sandalwood & vanilla, treacle tart, sugar cookies, vanilla bean orchid and black vanilla (orchid) which is a little more floral.
